The Union of Superhumans is an organization established in 1956 with the sole purpose of collecting, protecting, and defining any humans (Normals) who demonstrate superhuman abilities (Supers). The original first five Supers, known as The Liberty League, created the Charter of Independence and Codes of Conduct that define what role the Union has in Normal society.
Since the signature and ratification of The Charter, the current and future members of The Union of Superhumans are regarded as a separate, sovereign, independent nation existing within the borders of the United States of America. The Union is granted reservation territory in each state. These reservations house The Union's most visible symbol - The Pyramids. The Pyramids function as a headquarters, living area, training facilities and command center. These Pyramids are usually installed in the capital city of their respective states.
Catastrophic Urgency
The Union maintains that at times of great host national distress, military attack, collapse of host government, natural or man made disaster, we will intervene until such time as Normal civil and defense mechanisms can retake control of the situation.
Non-Intervention without Invitation
The Union will not intervene in natural or manmade disaster, or other dangerous event, without first receiving a request for assistance from a Normal citizen, citizen representative of host government, or recognized member of Normal civil or defense organization. The Union reserves the right to intervene when situations threaten The Union's national interest.
